The questionnaire is comprised of 153 questions ranked through seven options from ‘completely agree’ to ‘completely disagree’, taking approximately 20-25 minutes to complete. Reliability and Validity
The London Psychometric Laboratory is currently based at University College London (UCL). It is directed by K. V. Petrides and is home to the Trait Emotional Intelligence research program.
The TEIQue instruments and materials are among the most extensively validated psychological assessments available today. They are continually updated based on our research at the LPL.
In the trait EI publications page, there are numerous publications from the research program that present TEIQue data. Any of these can be cited as evidence of construct validity. All of these studies also present detailed information on internal consistency. In addition, there are scores of studies in the scientific literature utilizing the TEIQue.
